Not Even Water (For Flint, Michigan)

With the holy month of Ramadan upon us, Muslims around the world are fasting from sunrise to sunset (yes including water!). Now more than ever, we are reminded about how dire fresh and clean water is for our health and well-being . Now more than ever, we are reminded of the ongoing Flint water crisis that began in 2014. The residents of Flint, MI continue to suffer daily from polluted and toxic water. So little is being done to address this issue.
These are people's lives were are talking about!! Clean and safe drinking water should never be withheld from any soul. A mother should never fear her baby dying from lead poisoning more than measles. Most of the churches in Flint are having to buy water and distribute it to the residents. It's not enough and there is a financial limit on how much they could spend on water.
This campaign is designed to raise money and funds to obtain and distribute water to multiple Flint churches and residential areas. This campaign will take place during Ramadan. I want this project to remind us that we have a moral obligation to help those in need regardless of race, religion, ethnicity or color.
Ramadan is more than just abstaining from food and water. It is about faith, love, acceptance and charity.
