Norman Seabrook

Norman Seabrook is a man who has given 3 decades of his life representing the Men and Women and their families of the NYC Dept. of Correction, Correction Departments and Law Enforcement Agencies throughout the United States.

Norman Seabrook is my father-in-law and his dedication and commitment to Law Enforcement has raised the profile for the Men and Women who have one the toughest jobs in the United States.

During his tenure, he was instrumental in setting up the morgue after the 9/11 terrorist attacks . He was at the forefront of responding to all of the catastrophes around the country including Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Sandy, the disaster in Puerto Rico, the disaster in Haiti and the disaster in the Dominican republic.

Norman has successfully negotiated Legislation under Governor George Pataki that benefited NYC Correction Officers by obtaining more than 35 pieces of legislation, including the defined Benefit Bill, three-quarter disability Bill, Heart Bill and the Anti Privitization bill that prevents the City of New York from taking the jobs of professional law-enforcement officers.
He also successfully negotiated under Mayor Rudolph Giuliani 5% pay raises per year for three years with no givebacks as the Chairman of the Uniform Forces Coalition in the City of New York including all other Uniform Forces.

The commitment Norman took is the same commitment his family took. Countless memorable occasions such as, anniversaries, birthdays, graduations etc were absent in Norman’s life because he worked so tirelessly for the men and women of the NYC Correction’s Department. Norman’s family took a back seat when it came to his position, a seat they became to adapt to because of how hard he would work to fight for the equality, unity, respect and much more for the Correction Officers. Norman’s family supported him 100% and took and oath the day Norman got sworn into office and that oath is to work in making the Union better and equal for the Men and Women of the Correction Officers Benevolent Association.

For all the years fighting for Equality and Respect for this Union, Norman never turned his back. Norman rallied for the Union, made sure the Officers and their families were taken care of even in times such as funerals, retirements, celebrations, etc. We can not dismiss what Norman has done throughout these years! Norman is a man that respects everyone’s needs and wants, he goes the extra mile to help others and NOW is a time he needs your help.

Please let’s stand together, Not as a Union but as a FAMILY and support in this time of need. All funds raised will be used for the hardship to his family and the funds will be distributed in the form of a certified bank check.
