#NoBanJFK Thank You to JFK Staff

For all of you who have joined the effort as we camped out at JFK to help families affected by the recent ban, you know the Central Diner kept us fed and allowed us to take over their entire outdoor seating area to the detriment of their own business, and the Port Authority & JFK manager ran interference for us when we started having trouble with airlines and security staff.

The Central Diner staff can't receive gratuity on credit cards so we'de like to raise cash to give the staff a tip, and also to buy gift cards to be used at the diner that we could give to the Port Authority and JFK management staff.

The fundraiser is being run by Camille Mackler from the New York Immigration and coordinator for the #nobanjfk on the ground efforts. I have been at JFK working directly with the volunteers and with the various agencies and staff that run the airport and the Central Diner. I will withdraw the funds to give them (1) in cash as tips for the diner staff, (2) in gift cards to be used at the diner to be given to Port Authority and airport management staff and (3) any additional funds raised will be used to reimburse volunteers for their expenses directly related to our efforts upon submission of receipts.

You don't have to give much - even $10 - $20 would be great.
