No 44% Pay Raise!
The Spokane City Council (via the Salary Review Commission) is getting a WHOPPING 44% pay raise! The SRC thinks our council is FULL TIME, even though the city charter makes says nothing about the number of hours expected from council members. With my co-sponsor Kelly, we are attempting to collect 7200 signatures by APRIL 24. Since this task is HUGE, we need to raise money right NOW to hire signature gatherers! We want the citizens to have a chance to VOTE on this issue and have a broader discussion about what WE THE PEOPLE want from our City Council.

Since GoFundMe wants more info about your donations here it is: These funds are being collected by me to reimburse costs Kelly and I are incurring on a daily basis in the execution of the No 44 Campaign. There are printing costs, postage costs, miscellaneous supplies like clip boards, binder clips, pens, paper, etc. It primarily will be going to the people collecting signatures. I am NOT paying myself a dime for standing in front of stores getting signatures but I AM paying others to do so! I have three people right now who I have offered $10 per page of 35 signatures which is 1/3 the rate they usually get (typically it is $1 per signature). I would pay the going rate of $1 per but this being fronted out of our own pockets and we cannot commit to spending money we don't have. In addition to our paid gatherers we have many volunteers who like me will not benefit financially from this one bit. This money will go FIRST to the paid signature gatherers, if there is anything left over it will go to reimburse Kelly & I. If there's anything left after that (which I doubt there will be) it will either be returned to donors or donated someplace like UGM. I will be happy to share ALL RECORDS with anyone who is questioning our motives. Let me be perfectly clear:
