NEAB Sleep Out to tackle homelessness

Donation protected
New Earswick All Blacks are having a night under the stars to raise money for 'Good Organisation' and the Invisible Cities Network. The whole team including players, coaches and committee members will be spending a night on our very own pitch on Saturday the 4th of May (formerly April however in reaction to circumstances beyond our control the date was rearranged).

Good Organisation aims to support homeless people in York to become tour guides in the city. This is a community project that offers a practical solution to help improve the lives of homeless people. The funds that we raise will go directly to the project and will help pay for the training of tour guides and aid with any expenses the project faces.

Homelessness is a complex social issue and one that can be seen across the city of York; this project offers a holistic solution and helps people engage in society and benefit from the tourism that is already in York.

We hope that our sleep out raises money and awareness of the project and the issue of homelessness across the city.  Any funds that are raised will be greatly appreciated by the organisation and will help them successfully reach their goal of having walking tour guides across the city by summer 2019.
