Everyone needs help sometimes

A co-worker and close friend of mine is in need of some help. I understand we all have our own trials and tribulations we face daily. This hardship Wayne is facing has really touched me on a deep, personals level as he is a generous and kind hearted man who I view as a jack of all trades because he taught me so many new skills and ideas I would not have known otherwise.
Wayne is a civilian contractor for the Army dining facility in Fort Eustis. The DFAC has been closed recently for holidays and for various training events. Now when the dining facility closes, we all love the time off, but we forget about the civilian workers who are depending on that biweekly paycheck to pay their bills. In addition, his partner of 13 years, Kate, was hospitalized for some time and has since been out of work. This has caused Wayne to be behind on rent for the house he has lived in for the past 10 years but since he is a reliable man, his landlord has given him an extension. He has made the decision to move back to where he is originally from with his family for further support . He has till the second week of January to relocate. Wayne will unfortunately still owe the money to his previous landlord, but now he will face the stresses of first and last months rent of the apartment he hopes to move into, as well. Wayne is a low maintenance and humble man, so he is not looking for anything extravagant. He showed me an apartment he loved for around $550 a month with almost everything included. He isn't the type of man who looks for hand outs and he has a lot of pride!
I decided to make this account on my own because sometimes great people fall into a bind. I hope if this fate were to befall me, someone would do the same for me. I understand the holidays have just passed, and this does not directly affect any of you, but I hope you can donate to help your fellow man! This can happen to anyone, so even a couple dollars that you would normally spend on a coffee or at a fast food joint would help greatly. I appreciate the time and thought!
