€3,890 of €10,000 goal

Raised by 35 people in 3 months
Created October 30, 2018
The Narraghmore Social Enterprise project has been developed with the aim of establishing a Community Space for residents of Narraghmore and the surrounding community. The space will include

Retail Space with key services, tea rooms
* Spaces to support development of micro/home enterprises
* Demonstration and training areas for social and educational activities
* Men’s shed/repair café
* Adjoining Heritage Museum to include history of the area and recreation of lifestyle of bygone years in conjunction with Narraghmore Vintage Tractor and Car Club.

Narraghmore Development Association successfully applied for funding worth €80,000 under the Town & Village Renewal Scheme. However, part this of funding is contingent on the local community fundraising €10,000 to contribute to the project.

Funds raised will be used to complete the refurbishment and fit out of the old Kelly's Hardware Store, which will include a HSE approved kitchen area.

Why Support the Narraghmore Social Enterprise Project

With the closure of the Narraghmore Post Office and Shop, the need for a new community hub in Narraghmore has never been more evident.

However, this will not just be a shop! It's a new social centre for our community; a place to meet your neighbours and a valuable tool in fighting rural isolation.

It will also provide a vital outlet for local producers, craftspeople and micro-enterprises to showcase and sell their wares.

Target 100 Households!

With the help of our local community we can achieve our target of €10,000 with a donation of just €100 from 100 households

Recognition of Your Support

The support of individuals and businesses in our local community is vital for the success of this project and we would like to publicly acknowledge the support of those who make a financial contribution. Therefore, we will be installing a Recognition Wall in the new community space to recognise the following:

1. Sponsors: individuals or businesses who contribute €1,000 or more will have their name/logo placed at top of Recognition wall
2. Major Donors: individuals or businesses who contribute €250 or more will have their names listed in large text
3. Contributors: all other donors of €100 or over will have their names listed in the bottom section of the wall

Donors can choose to remain anonymous if they wish.

Narraghmore Development Association is a community group who aims to bring together the local community through development projects, social events, community working bees and other community activities. The Committee comprises of local Narraghmore residents and business owners.

Funds raised through this campaign will be put directly to the refurbishment of the old Hardware store to development new community space. We are fundraising to achieve our target through an online campaign and other community events.
