MONTCLAIR Bus Fund-Women's March DC

On January 21, 2017 we will unite in Washington DC for the Women’s March on Washington. We will stand together in solidarity for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families -- recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country.
The Montclair NJ chapter would like to make certain that our community is fully represented in DC, but understand that the bus fare is an obstacle for some. We are working with organizations in and around Montclair to identify women who want to participate and add their voices to this historic event.
We have created this GoFundMe effort to cover the costs of (at least) 50 seats @ $65 per seat for low-income residents in our area, which means raising $3,250.
If you can’t attend the Women’s March on DC this is a perfect way to show your support by funding someone who can participate in this amazing show of unity.
It is essential that we send a bold message to the new administration on their first day in office that women's rights are human rights, recognizing that defending the most marginalized among us is defending all of us.
