Mom's Vacation
Hello!
My name is Sarah Anndrea, if you're reading this you probably already know this. I am raising money so that I can take my mom on a vacation. I personally don't think my mom has had a vacation, more than a weekend, in over a year. I know that this may seem unimportant, but after this year she really needs it.
My mom has been constantly moving since January of 2016 when my dad's hip broke and he got diagnosed with bone cancer. From January to June my dad transitioned from being able to live alone, to being in a facility so that his hip could heal and he could receive chemotherapy and radiation. After a surgery to shorten the nail in his hip, my dad got an infection . At this point my dad has been just tired. My mom was with him every step of the way. She made sure that all the doctors were in line, and sharing the information. Making sure all the nurses were on the same page. Not to mention making sure my grandmother staid calm and relaxed. All while helping me through my last quarter of school, and helping me through panic attacks and moments of feeling like a terrible daughter for not being able to help.
On the 15th of August my father passed away. Even though I had to make all of the decisions. My mom was the glue that was holding our family together. I know that it was just as hard for her as it was for me, but she barely showed it. She made sure that my Nana was okay and had what she needed, all while making sure I didn't pass out.
These past two months after the funeral, she has been my rock, and I just don't know how to thank her. She really needs a break; time to just chill out and do whatever she wants, with or without me and my nana. My mom needs to take care of herself.
I would really appreciate the help. Even though I've been looking for jobs since graduation, I haven't had much success. Now that everything has died down I have really started looking , but it's like starting all over.
I want to be able to send my mom somewhere for Christmas. I know it's short notice, but I would love to raise enough before the end of November.
This means the world to me to be able to take care of my mom, and make her happy. I would be so thankful to everyone who donates.
Thank you,
Sarah Anndrea
