Medical Mission Trip to Zanzibar!

Hello Friends and Family!
I have a unique opportunity to go on a medical mission trip to Zanzibar, Tanzania!
I will be joining a group of medical professionals including doctors and other nurses for a week-long trip this summer. On this medical mission, we will provide medical care and education to the residents in and around Zanzibar. In addition to assisting local medical staff, some of the basic duties while on this trip will include: initial assessment of patients, wound care and dressings, administration of vaccinations, and assisting during minor surgeries. I would also provide education to patients on issues such as HIV/AIDS and basic healthcare.
I must admit I am extremely excited about this opportunity. I have always wanted to give back and provide medical assistance to those in need. This is where I need your help!
This trip is 100% volunteer oriented, thus I am seeking donations to assist with the costs associated with the trip. With airfare, travel visas, and related travel expenses I am anticipating the cost of the trip to be approximately $4000 USD. Any additional funds raised would be used to provide basic humanitarian supplies and assistance to those in the area.
