We were alerted to another family in crisis.  This is for a family at McDougle fleeing domestic violence.  Four kids under the age of 10 (3 boys ages 2,5,8 and a girl aged 10) and a baby on the way in June.   The family has temporary shelter but their host is facing eviction in the next 2 weeks or so.  We are raising money to try and help them find a place to live and get them through the phase of their lives.   The funds will be used for a deposit and help with rent and any essentials.  This family doesn't have any furniture and depending on the housing - they may need the basics and essentials, clothing food etc.   If anyone has any leads on housing in the Carrboro / Chapel Hill area please message me.    This mom has been trying to get into a family shelter but it's full.  She has applied for assistance and has been in touch with several organizations like Compass center.    Any help no matter how small will go a long way to help this family in need.   We will be very grateful for any support, especially for the children.  Thanks :)

More about me: I’m a fellow mom at McDougle. I’ve been helping out social worker with families in crisis along with other moms like Zeynep and Angela. We will use the funds to help with the housing and essentials like furniture and any other necessities. We pay the landlord or utilities directly. Thanks you

We've put the donations to very good use with the deposit, rent, essentials and lots of nice donations. Thank you all again for helping this wonderful family.
