We are deeply saddened to share with you that our dear friend and coworker, Tim Maypray, passed away this week. We feel this loss as a team – friends, colleagues and the courageous young men whom Tim mentored.
From his time at Randolph-Macon Academy to his outstanding career at VMI and the Montreal Alouettes, Tim had a profound impact on everyone he encountered and played with. When Tim's playing career ended, he began to coach the game he loved. As a coach at Randolph-Macon Academy, VMI, and Davidson, Tim motivated and mentored countless young men and pushed them to be their very best. The greatest joy of our careers as coaches is helping guide the lives of these young men, and I know that Tim shared that incomparable sense of wonder.
Tim leaves behind a legacy of being an outstanding athlete, a loyal friend, an incredible coworker, mentor, and coach, but most importantly a loving and caring husband and father.
No matter where you are coming from or how you know Tim and his wonderful wife Bianca and two children, Madison and Timothy (a third on the way) we ask that you rally around in support of his family. The Davidson Football staff has created this GoFundMe to support Bianca and the future medical and living expenses, as well as funeral costs and moving expenses.
I ask that you please join me in holding Tim’s family close in your hearts and in your prayers. Please consider supporting his wonderful family. All of the money raised through this campaign will go directly to Bianca and her kids.
