Medic to Greek Refugee Camps

NOT SINCE WORLD WAR II HAVE SO MANY PEOPLE BEEN FORCED TO FLEE WAR AND DEATH.
I AM AN EXPERIENCED NATIONALLY CERTIFIED EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN FROM CALIFORNIA GOING TO GREECE TO PROVIDE CRUCIAL MEDICAL AID IN REFUGEE CAMPS.
This is a 2-3 week trip (depending on funds I can raise) starting May 15, 2016.
Over half the refugees are women and children. Five million regular citizens....like you and me ...have been displaced from their homes due to daily bombings, torture and civil war.
While Europe is struggling to figure out what to do with this crisis, these families are stuck in camps for months, and perhaps it will be years.
There is insufficient (and sometimes old and rotten) food. (In one camp I know of, infants are only giving 1/4 cup of milk a powdered milk a day.)
People are sleeping on the ground. There is poor sanitation and over-crowding.
These conditions have caused illness, disease and aggravated medical conditions. Many women are pregnant in the camps..because their families back home combined their funds to save young couples and their family.
Greece and its wonderful people (notwithstanding their own plight and economic problems) have done so much. But until the politics are figured out, these humans fleeing war and terror will suffer--and die--unless international medical volunteers---and those that support us----step up and assist.
The above photo is of me from my first medical volunteer trip to Greecein November. I decided to go at the last minute due to crucial need and recent deaths from hypothermia and drowning. I maxed out my credit cards to pay for the trip and buy medical supplies.
This time I need help from all good people who recognize our common humanity. Many of us can't leave our homes and volunteer. But most everyone can donate something. This is not an easy thing to do..and your funds, however small, give me courage and strength to do this challenging task.
Funds will pay for: medical supplies first, data and phone charges in Greece second, transportation in Greece, my reasonable room and board expenses in Greece, and if there is enough, to pay off the airfare charged on my credit card. (:
