Hi all,
So this is a difficult one to write, it’s almost six months since the perpetual rock-star Martin left us, mostly because for all of us, it’s still hard to believe he’s not here.
But Venetia, his remarkable wife and his three magnificent boys, Felix, Arlo and Casper are.
Asking, is always one of the hardest things any of us can do, but sometimes, this time, people, friends, you, want to help, in fact, many of you asked us how you can help? So we have decided to set up a fund.
A fund to help Venetia and the boys adjust to day to day without him. Martin did and took care of a lot on a day to day basis, the Tesco shop, the pick up’s for the boys, driving Venetia to work etc. V is back at work now a few days a week, at Q102 and TV3, but yes, Tallaght is a trip, and she doesn’t drive. They were all the things that Martin did, the shop, the kids, the car runs, outside of being perpetually him, the hoop asking, rock-star promoter, grumbler, loving dad and partner, those were the bits he was best at and loved the most. Beyond that the boys are growing, their future days full of both challenges and opportunities, some of these will require more resources than others and hopefully, the money we raise here can make some of these opportunities or perhaps a dream come true for the boys.
So with all this love and goodwill around, we have set up a Go Fund It page. It’s hard to ask, but Martin, as you all know, was never shy of telling it like it was, so any little bit, much appreciated.
Thank You, he will most likely still think you are all c**ts, but not really!
