March for Public Education-Austin

In honor of the movement that began at the Women's March on Washington, the March for Public Education is a group of teachers, counselors, professors, administrators, paraprofessionals, students, parents, and citizen-advocates concerned with Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, as well as federal, state and local policies that defund and devalue public education. We are advocates who believe that every child, regardless of race, sex, socioeconomic status and ability, deserve the opportunity to experience the transformative power of a well-rounded education.

We will be conducting a march/rally in Austin, TX.  Conducting this march will require the use of space and items, such as speakers, tables, permit, etc. We will need funds in order to acquire the use of these items. We have created a business account specifically for these funds. All of the funds that are donated will be used for the march and any remaining funds, that are not utilized in the march, will be donated to Austin Ed Fund (www.austinedfund.org) and Talitha Koum Institute in Waco, TX (www.talithakoum.org). In the event of an unforeseen circumstance and the march does not take place, all donated funds will support these two foundations.
