Marc Tiritilli for Mayor Recount

Marc Tiritilli ran for Mayor of Normal, IL, in the April 4th election. The election night result showed Marc's opponent in the lead by only seven votes. There are at least 18 absentee ballots to be counted on April 18th, plus there are about 100 other ballots that were not added into the totals for various reasons. Regardless of the results on April 18th, the margin will be very slim.
Marc and his team feel that we owe it to all our supporters and those who voted for Marc to prepare for a recount process. If the burden of recount should fall to Team Tiritilli, we will need to raise between $5,000 and $15,000 for legal fees.
We have some very tight deadlines ahead of us, so we have decided to begin the fundraising process now. If each person who voted for Marc contributed only $5 to this fund, we would more than meet our financial need.
Marc's supporters are in the process of establishing a political action committee (PAC) to prepare for the next municipal election coming in two years. Any funds we do not use for recount legal fees will go to this PAC so that we can begin a planning process, recruit candidates for the Town Council, and prepare funding for campaigns.
