Hey Everyone,
My Name is Sindu Varathan.
I am a working professional, single mom to a 4 year old with a passion to help people far and beyond. I am a Christian actively involved in my church. I am just a normal person like any of you :)
I was married for 6 years before becoming a single mom. My Single Mom journey for the past 4 years has taught me to appreciate the kindness and generosity of people in and around my life. Especially during the times of Christmas, when I wouldn’t have enough to buy new clothes or gifts for my toddler, I had helping hands from all over to ease me during that festive season. I remember during my teenage years, I skipped church especially during Christmas as I did not have decent clothes to wear during that festive season and I was a little embarrassed to step out of my home. The struggle is real.This year I want to help people that are going through a similar situation as me years back. My heart is for brightening up Christmas for people that are doing it tough this year.
I choose to call this a LOVECARESHARE MISSION – When we LOVE ENOUGH, we CARE ENOUGH to SHARE ENOUGH
Christmas is Jesus birthday. A day when we celebrate the birth of Jesus and rejoice that we have Hope for our futures. 2 days back when I was reflecting on this, I felt that God showed me this picture ‘Of me crazily running around to make my daughter’s 4th birthday as special as it can be for her. Of me trying to make note of every single thing that she liked and loved. Of me getting all those things that made her happy’. That moment I asked God ‘What would you like for Christmas Jesus? What will make you happy?’ Instantly I had this on my mind ‘Love, Compassion towards my people ‘
God is a God of compassion, love and throughout His life on His earth He has done nothing but GIVING it ALL OUT for US. I was challenged to do something for at least 100 people this Christmas. Touch their hearts and their families. I had a season in my life when I was receiving. I believe this is the season God has called me to give. If you think I have loads of money that I have to give away to start this, you are wrong. I am just stepping out to what God called me to initiate and I am sure He will provide along the way
My request to you through this page is ‘Would you be willing to join me to brighten someone’s Christmas this year ‘? Be it a sick child, a struggling single mom or a family a need is a need.
I believe we can BE THE CHANGE that we want others to be. And it starts with Sharing WHAT WE ALREADY HAVE. It just takes a willing and compassionate heart to relate to the pain of others and care enough to share. TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
If you can spare just your $4 a day/ coffee for this, that will make a huge difference. Well, that's just an idea.No amount is too big or small. Every cent matters and 100% of the money raised will be distributed to people in need. A detailed summary of the amount and work will be provided at the end of this campaign. This campaign is only for 4 weeks and will be closing on Dec 13th 2017 so we have enough time to buy things we need to bless others, just in time for Christmas
