Thomas and Marlous' Adoption
I have to say it is a little overwhelming to think of all the things that need to happen before we will hold our little one in our arms but we know that it will be worth it! We've come through immigration and a long distance relationship and we know we can overcome this as well.
Adopting a child is sort of like a very long pregnancy, possibly lasting years. It comes complete with emotional ups and downs. Let me break down the different "˜trimesters' for you:
First Trimester: selecting an adoption agency, pre application, official application, home study paperwork, home study assessment
Second Trimester: making an autobiography and adoption book so potential birthmothers can select us to parent their child, being selected by a birthmother and meeting her, accepting the match, paperwork, waiting until she has the baby.
Third Trimester: TAKE OUR BABY HOME!!!
Things you can do to support us now and all throughout this exciting journey:
Pray that we can raise the money to bring our baby home, for a birth mother to select us as parents for her child, patience during this journey, wisdom to be great parents.

We're excited to say we have raised over $22,000 so far towards our adoption and have less than $8,000 to go! As of October 2014, all paperwork and legal processes are done and we are officially waiting for a match.
If you would like to donate towards our adoption, there are a few ways to do so:
- Purchase Jewelry and other handmade crafts in The Source at C3 Church or on Etsy ( http://lousje.etsy.com)
- Donate through our GoFundMe page
- Find us at an upcoming event! You can follow @marlouspot on Instagram to hear when these are happening.
We're very thankful for all of your prayers, support and generosity. We can't wait to see what God is going to do in this next season!
