Let's make omgelementaryos.org

While there are many Linux distributions out in the wild, one that resonates with many is Elementary OS! Unfortunately, it doesn't get quite as much attention as Ubuntu, Fedora, or Linux  Mint. Yet, it's one of the fastest-growing distros out there! I believe it could become even more popular if there were more resources than standard social media or the Elementary team's forums. This is why I want to create the Elementary OS version of omgubuntu.org (still unsure of what the exact domain will be) to report on everything related to Elementary OS!

Being a Journalism college student, I specialize in writing and delivering the news. I also have a love for technology and have been using every OS out there for years. Elementary is my favorite, and I believe it has so much more potential if more people were actively aware of it or using it. The money I'm trying to raise would allow me to maintain a web domain and website for the outlet, and even pay other writers to contribute content that could be shared! What better way to run a project like this than to have the community contribute and to simply crowdsource the endeavor? If you want to help make this happen, please donate to the cause! If you don't have money to contribute, I also appreciate any help!

My goal is to give the Linux community a proper resource and news outlet for one of the coolest Linux distros out there and to help Linux become more prevalent, supported and relatable in the world's eyes. I learned more about Linux by running into the omgubuntu.org.uk website. Elementary OS is deserving of this, and I think the community wants to see this happen too!
