Leia's Thoracic Tumor

Melissa Villa and Brian Lewis, are asking for help with our daughter Leia Lorraine Lewis she was a healthy baby with no complications until she reached about the age of 2. She would have these strange, sporadic chest and abdominal pains, So we immediately took her to the numerous ER they ran tests, and we were told it was a gastric issue, constipation, etc. We would take our child home with the prescribed medicine we were given for her. None of them worked, she was still constantly in pain. We would take her back, run test, get dismissed and would send us home with new medicine that they said would help, but it didn't. This went on for about a year and a half. She received a brain MRI and it was normal and we were sent home, but we knew there wasn’t something right but we left it alone. Leias gait was dramatically changing and she developed a sort of limp/waddle her pediatrician sent her to PT and started noticing weakness on the left side. We finally got a MRI done, and they found a thoracic spine tumor. Unfortunately there is only one Neurosurgeon in Las Vegas and his wait time is months. We got accepted to UCLA Mattels Childrens Hospital where she had her surgery done. Prior to the initial surgery she had to have another to remove a piece the nuerosurgeon thought was effecting her immobility. 2nd surgery was a success and we spent another couple days until we were flown back home to get her into a rehabilitation facility because she couldn't walk and we were told she may never walk again. We appreciate everybody and all their help but this has just ripped a hole into my families life. Anything helps
