As many of you know by now, my brother went on a mission trip with a church group. He was supposed to return home on 3/25/2017 but he was detained in Guatemala and is still there awaiting a date to come home. Due to the nature of this cirumstance and to protect my brother, we can not share details of why he was detained, but we know that God is faithful to bring him home. Also, Zack loves the Guatemalan community and we wish no ill will upon them. However; as you can imagine, this has burdended our family greatly. Not just emotionally, but financially as well. While he was there, he shared the love of Jesus Christ, helped the community by building a kitchen, fed the needy, helped issue water filters, loved on the children, and gave gifts- he even gave away all the clothes he packed.

While away, Zack is not able to work his daily job or his side buisness which supports his family. In return, this leaves a tremedous financial gap. All funds raised will be used to support Zack, his wife, their two boys, and will aid in paying for Zack's living expenses where he is. The fees and day to day living are mounting as we deal with this process. This will help alleviate that burden and bring financial peace to this situation.

First and foremost, we are asking that you join us in prayer.  We know that with God all things are possible. Second, we are seeking donations. Any amount is appreciated and there is absolutely no gift too small.  I'm honored to say that Zack is still continuing to further the Kingdom! We have word that he is praying with other men he is being detained with! Glory! So many of you have asked how you can help and this is what we are needing most at this time. We know that God is able to do exceeding abundantly more than we can dream or imagine. Having the support to help with finances will take a huge weight off of this this already very heavy burden.  To know Zack is to love him, and I know how blessed he will be to know we have joined together to help relieve this stress for his family. We raised money to get him there, now let's PRAY and raise money to get him home! We cherish your prayers and thank you in advance for your support.

I've waited for this update since we began this journey eight months ago. It's with the utmost joy and humility that I can say that Zack is on his way home. Like, right now. He is on a plane, on his way HOME! GLORY!!! Thank you, Jesus! Like, I want to kiss Jesus' face off right now.

Yesterday, a little after 3 PM, I got the best phone call I could ever get. Zack's paperwork was done a flight was booked. This morning (before the crack of dawn might I add) we all sat on pins and needles texting one another as we waited for word that he had entered the gate and made it past immigration. We got that word! I can't even put into words the relief felt. Then, we got word he was sitting on the plane waiting for taxi. Our hearts begin to finally celebrate. After a 45 minute delay, he was in the air. On his way home. I fell to my knees and wept. I couldn't catch my breath. I would see my brother. He would see us. He would hug his boys, hug is wife. I would see his face! In real life. Our family would be TOGETHER for THANKSGIVING!!! It was literally yesterday or the day before I heard we would have another hearing on December 8th! And THAT, my friends, is how awesome God is. He is a miracle worker. He made this happen. He is good. He restores. He makes new. He deserves the glory.

So, THANK YOU! Thank you for being there. For the support. For caring. For giving. For praying. For loving. Thanks. So. Much.

And I have to add this- thanks to our government for pushing to Bring Zack Home. I'm so blessed to live in this amazing country! I'm so proud to be an American! God bless, friends. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS! Love yall!!

I wanted to bring everyone up to date on the latest. With Zack having passport in his hand last Thursday, our anticipation was that he would be able to board a flight home last Friday. The rug was pulled from under him and our family when we heard that Guatemala would not release the travel ban on his name. His lawyer thought they would be going to the court house today, but instead the courts are closed. Not only are they closed, they are making him wait 30 days. This is probably the most saddening news we have heard since the day they wanted to put him on trial. I believe this is very unfair. The holidays are approaching and Lisa and the boys have stopped their move to Guatemala based on the fact we thought he was coming home. They keep giving us curve balls. I am very disappointed in how the Guatemalan government's lower courts have handled Zack's case- being he was a missionary in their country. I am urging everyone I know to ask God to do what only He can do. I'm praying for a miracle. Zack needs to be home with his family for the holidays. They have detained an innocent man for over 8 months only to want to hold him longer for no other reason than to make him wait. It is my guess that Lisa and the boys will go over there for the holidays if God doesn't show out before then. It is crucial that Zack doesn't have to spend the holidays without his family. Which is, more money for them to travel.

I pray you all will rush the Kingdom and pray for Zack's release in a miraculous way! This is not what we planned or hoped for. I know the enemy comes to divide and destroy- but God came to give us life and give it to us MORE ABUNDANTLY. Please continue to pray. Again, join the Facebook page "Bring Zack Home" for more current updates. Thank you for praying.

It is with the utmost excitement that I can say that my brother was released to go home! After six months and two weeks, Zack finally gets to set his sights on being reunited with his family. Glory to God!

So what happens now? Zack will go back in ten days to read the official sentence and to obtain his passport and cell phone. He will then wait on all other paper work to be processed (which could take a couple weeks, but Lord willing it will NOT), pay the remainder lawyer fees, and then purchase a ticket to come home.

My last request for this Go Fund Me: Zack and Lisa finally had their 2016 taxes done while Zack was in Guatemala and was hit with a hefty fine- it was thousands. He has been sick thinking about it. If you feel led to give to help relieve that burden and let Zack come home to no debt, please give. Nothing would bless me more than to see Zack and Lisa blessed not to carry that burden. Most of the funds from this have been used in this very costly situation- for living expenses, lawyer fees, visits to Guatemala, and the list goes on.

Again, THANK YOU. Thank you to each person who prayed. Thank you to each person who gave. Thank you to each person who sent words of encouragement. But above all, Lord, I thank you! I praise you and pray that you are glorified in all of this. For none of this is possible without you. You deserve the glory. You are good.

If you are reading this and going through a hard time, I pray that you know that this is just a season. The time of sowing seems so long, but I promise there will be a time of harvest. Do not give up. Things are moving that you can not see. If you feel led, please reach out to me personally and I would love to pray for you. God bless!!!

I know it's been a while since I have last posted an update. Things move extremely slow over there so we were/are playing the waiting game. But we finally got some good news since I have last posted: earlier this month, a meeting was held in Washington D.C. with Senator Cassidy, Congressman Mike Johnson (phoned in), and the newly appointed ambassador of Guatemala. After that meeting, some promising things came; one of which being that Zack's case would be moved to the Supreme Court of Guatemala. Since that meeting, Zack was seen by the Supreme Court doctor who agreed that Zack needs to be home and have his trial upped to be home to get proper care (those results just recently in). There is sits. While we have some refreshing good news, we still don't know how soon that will be moved up. Last I heard, the earliest was still three months away! I know God can do better so I am believing for him to be home to get the care he needs BEFORE CHRISTMAS.

Also, I am upping the amount because so much of these funds have already been used on legal fees, living, trips to see Zack, medical, and the cost of living for both Zack there and for my sister in law and my nephews here. Also, Zack is receiving ZERO compensation for his lost wages. Zack's wife and boys still plan to move there if this continues to drag out and that will cost more money. They will have to pay for the apartment and to furnish it, education for the boys there, air fare to get there, and cost of living there while maintaining their home and the cost of it here.

I urge you all to keep them in your prayers. My nephews miss their daddy greatly. His oldest cried so hard over thinking he lost a ball his daddy gave him. This leaves an emotional wake as it drags out even though everyone has handled it so well, considering the circumstances.

I want to personally thank brother CL Bryant who has used his platform for good and for keeping America informed about Zack in efforts to bring him home! Tune in locally for his nationwide broadcast on 90.7 to hear the latest on main headlines and for truth in the political ring. This man loves Jesus and his country! Also, thankful for our Congressman and our Senator for keeping Zack at the forefront of their minds and pushing for JUSTICE.

Thanks again for all your prayers. Keep them coming!
