Our neighbors Mohammed, Carol, Joel and Juan are each currently detained and at risk of deportation. They have requested urgent community support to raise funds for legal aid and support to continue to fight to remain in the community. They each have families that need them home here in Massachusetts. Let's make it clear that Mohammed, Carol, Joel and Juan, and all our neighbors, are #HereToStay!
Mohammad needs funds for intake/assessment with a lawyer.
Carol needs legal aid to halt her deportation and apply for asylum with her partner.
Joel needs funds to support his family in Zacatecas, Mexico while he is detained.
Juan needs funds for legal representation.
If we rally together and share resources as a community, we can help demonstrate our collective opposition to this oppressive and inhumane system that imprisons our neighbors, separates families, and harms communities.
These funds are being collected by the Boston Immigration Justice Accompaniment Network, which works to support all of our neighbors locked away in immigration detention.
