Laurel's Butterfly Acres

Today I had the pleasure to visit Laural and presented her with your donations ...she was immensely grateful to all of you for showering her with your contributions and showing the loving support of community!!  Thank you all!  This money is going to be used for wood to start a rebuild..some type of structure so she can, once again, have a home for goats, chickens, rabbits and all necessary feed and bedding.  Your donations have begun her journey!!

Lauralhas lost her barn and many farm animals to a devastating fire.  We are raising monies to help her recover from this loss.

Today, after speaking with Laural, it has become very clear of what it's going to take to recover, even on a very basic level.  I have upped the goal to that level.  I know so many of you have, not only contributed financially, but have shared the campaign link, spread the word, and have shown your support in other ways for Laural, whose vendor booth is a mainstay at the Elberta Farmers Market, the Frankfort Farmers Market, and the Grow Benzie Farmers Market.  She has been a part of the local farming community for many years.

Well, the big day is approaching!  This Friday I will be visiting Laural at her farm...and giving her the campaign monies that have been raised so far through all the contributions each of you have so generously donated to her.  As I spoke to her the other day, she said that much of these donations were going to be used to buy wood to begin a process of rebuilding a barn structure!  As you all know, the farm lost all of its animals.  In order for Laural to begin housing farmanimals again, there needs to be a structure not only to house them, but covered space for hay and other foodstuffs.  This building will eventually provide for this.

Again I wish to thank each of you for your kind support you have shown to Laural.  Please know your contribution will be used by her to continue her farm lifestyle, and provide food for her family and market customers.
