 LAFAYETTE, CO
Labor For Standing Rock was created by rank and file workers and union members to bring the labor movement into action to support the First Nation's fight against the Dakota Access Pipeline. In the process, we are mobilizing union members and workers to add our voices and direct presence to the Standing Rock Camp located in North Dakota now.

We are working people supporting the First Nation's protection of the water from the Dakota Access Pipeline. Our rotating crew on the ground since October, has been asked to stay and provide specific support to the Water Protectors. The weather is extremely harsh, and the exterior conditions are changing rapidly.

Funds raised through this site provide onsite emergent support for our team and the specific items they are asked to bring or build.

The response to Standing Rock from working people around the country has been nothing short of staggering. It's clear that the labor movement is no longer content to sit aside while the sovereignty of Native Americans is taken and the land and water are risked. No oil company profits are more important than our rights and environment.

This is a moment in history that has the potential to create a powerful change for our civil rights, the environment and for full employment to transition us from fossil fuels and we need your help to build it.

Please help with whatever donation you can.

In solidarity,

Labor for Standing Rock

Your contributions at work on our Winterization Project Fund!

SPECIAL UPDATE FOR OUR DONORS from Liam Cain, former pipeline worker, LIUNA Local 1271 Cheyenne, WY, on-the-ground supporting the Standing Rock Water Protectors:

"My primary focus back on the ground has been life safety triage and mitigating public health risk.

Working with 'Last Real Indians,' (LRI founded by Chase Iron Eyes) and others on water filtration and a more reliable supply of firewood to the camps. As well as some fire safety work inside structures as well.

We're still working on long distance/long term shipping options with Cheyenne River and LRI, for the wood in the Bay.

In the meantime, we are trying to source closer wood and straw bales and support the stove installation crew (as one of the most efficient, effective ways to ensure stove/fire safety in dwellings).

We're tied into some important and and extremely necessary work to ensure the health and well being of the water protectors as they remain in place to keep pressure on DAPL."

We are currently short just over a thousand dollars to meet our year-end- goal of $15,000 to spend on Winterization for the Water Protectors!

We appreciate any donations large or small!

Sisters and Brothers,

We are working people supporting the First Nation's protection of the water from the Dakota Access Pipeline. Our rotating crew on the ground has been asked to stay and provide specific support to the Water Protectors. The weather is extremely harsh, and the exterior conditions are changing rapidly.

Funds raised through this site provide onsite emergent support for our team and the specific items they are asked to bring or build.

The list of items that are critically needed is also changing rapidly, so here is a list of what the most pressing needs are, but it will change as the conditions on the ground warrant.

Right now we need to purchase and deliver: 20 lb ABC Rated Dry Chemical Fire Extinguishers, Oxygen Depletion sensors, Straw Hay Bales, Getting stuff trucked there (hauling in big rigs), Wood, and Tire Chains. This list changes, we update as often as possible.

If you have any of these items that you want to donate as an in-kind donation, contact us. We will need to work out transportation and shipping details.

Thank you for all you are doing.

Love and Solidarity

Rosie's Machinists 751 is proud to join with Labor for Standing Rock in supporting the brave women and men Water Protectors. Their courageous resistance has forced the government to withhold the final easement for the Dakota Access Pipeline to drill under the Missouri River. We believe that treaty rights must be respected and that everyone should have clean water to drink without fear of contamination. We urge you to keep the pressure on until the Black Snake is gone and are contributing Labor for Standing Rock Winterization Fund to help folks withstand the bitter cold. Rosie's Machinists 751 is a caucus of Boeing Co. machinists in IAM 751 that formed to protect our pensions in a bitter battle with the huge corporation, the governor of Washington, and other elected officials who were in Boeing's pockets. We believe your struggle is our struggle. Mni Wiconi: Water is Life! In solidarity, The Steering Committee Rosie's Machinists 751 based in Washington State Stand Up Fight Back!
