Kildare Residents(Magee Barracks)

This money is being raised to submit a professional submission on behalf of a number of residents and housing estates in Kildare Town. This is in relation to the planning submission by Ballymount Properties in relation to the site at Magee Barracks Kildare Town. Following on from a public meeting organised by Councillor Suzanne Doyle, it was agreed by the majority present to submit one submission to cover all issues raised and to have this done correctly and by a professional. It was felt this would best represent the concerns and would be taken seriously by An Bord Plaenala. All monies raised here will be going directly to pay the professional at a cost of €2,000 plus 23% vat. This money needs to be raised asap as the submission has to be lodged by 08/05/18. The issues raised were:- - High density of houses. The Town is already at its target set by KCC for Town plan Growth to 2023(between current buildings going on and planning granted). - Lack of traffic plan for an already overstretched network. - Borders impeaching on current estates. - 2 & 3 storey houses overlooking bungalows in current estates. - Proposed shared green spaces ( no mans land). - Dangerous weeds need to be removed. - No amenities for the public in the proposed plans. - The resulting increase in population will have a further detrimental effect on our schools and doctors surgeries which are already bursting at the seams. - No employment for locals. The cancer medical centre, while welcomed, will be highly trained jobs and will not be filled locally. Lidl is just moving across the road and have the staff already.
