These are just some of the emotions that are now swirling for the hundreds of families who recently received this very message on Wednesday, February 27, 2019. Our children, ages 0-18 years old, attended Kids Castle (the childcare center) and Castle Academy (the private school) of Barrington, New Jersey. I am one of the impacted families. With literally no time on our side, I and many of my fellow parents, were FORCED to find new childcare centers and schools.
A growing group of parents are joining forces to support the grief and loss phenomenon that we’re all facing. Our children, the teachers, and us, the parents equally are working through this very TRAUMATIC EVENT.
We’re setting up this gofundme account to raise at least $40,000. This money will go specifically to pay all the teachers who worked for weeks on end without getting paid; and now that the school is closed, are certain to not be paid. Any monies above and beyond the $40,000 will go to all the families who paid in advance and are also certain not to be refunded.
