Keys Dem Delegate to Philly 7-25

Thank you for visiting my gofundme campaign. I have recently been elected by Democrats in District 21 of Florida to represent them as a Delegate for Bernie Sanders at the Democratic Convention in Philadelphia on July 25th.
I believe I will have an opportunity to raise non-partisan awareness about issues that are locally important to all residents of the Florida Keys including but not limited to environmental concerns, jobs and wages, housing and homeowner insurance.
Many who will visit this page will already know that I am a lifelong resident of the Lower Keys, having moved here with my parents when I was a child. I graduated from Key West High School in 2005 and went to Florida Keys Community College and received an Associate in Arts in 2007 and and Associate in Science for IT in 2008. I am currently a videographer and part time real estate agent. I have literaly fallen into this position because there is a great need for people with passion, charisma, energy and new ideas. I never intended to enter politics, but I am doing it because it is clearly the right thing to do with the current political climate we are facing today.
Despite being prepared mentally and educationally to succeed in this task for my fellow residents of District 26, the financial burden is immense for most people to handle alone.
The Democratic Party has arranged hotel rooms at Philadelphia's Downtown Marriott. Below is an except from the Democratic Party about the hotel rooms.
"The convention will be at the Philadelphia downtown Marriott. With taxes, fees, etc it is estimated that a king room will cost around $600/night. Delegates are expected to arrive Sunday and need to plan to be there 5 nights. You are definitely able & encouraged to fundraise to help cover the costs of the trip"
Aside from that, they are many other costs associated with travel, food and proper attire (I will need to trade in my flip flops)
