Yolie's Keep Fighting Fund

Donation protected

My name is Malissa. I am Yolie's older sister and her biggest fan. I created this account because I refuse to let money be the reason she is unable to win her battle with Stage 4 Metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer.

All funds raised here will be used to pay for her monthly prescriptions, not covered by medical insurance and also to help off-set living expenses for her family of five.

Yolie is a loving wife to Edward and Mommy to Daniel Patrick, Ryan Avery and Marley Lynn.

Yolie has had to endure more in her 40 years on this earth than most of us will in our entire lives. At age 7, it was discovered that she only has one functioning kidney and she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Over the years, she has had several surgeries and has been hospitalized over a dozen times.

But that's nothing compared to what she has had to endure over the past five years.

Since her first diagnosis in 2011, Yolie has bravely fought and won breast cancer five times but tumors continue to show up soon after treatment ends.  Because her type of cancer is so aggressive, her Oncologist made the recommedation last fall for her to continue chemotherapy indefinitely: every day for two weeks, every three weeks.

Most recently, she had a seizure. Shortly after being admitted, they ran several tests and discovered a tumor in her spine, which they were able to successfully remove. She was released last Friday to heal at home, surrounded by her family, but with the growing list of symptoms she is dealing with, her monthly prescriptions have also increased.

Our goal is to enable Yolie to focus on recovering from surgery so she can be in the very best position to win her battle with cancer, once and for all.

Please know that every single dollar counts and if you are unable to give, you CAN still help in many ways:
