Keep "What Grows On in RI" Going!

There's a lot of environmental activity going on in RI. Hundreds of groups clean up beaches, go hiking, conserve land, give gardening workshops, teach kids about nature, organize farmers markets, show films and art exhibits, lobby for climate and energy-related legislation, offer energy efficiency training, and much more. And since RI is so small and compact, it makes sense to put all of these activities into one comprehensive calendar, called What Grows On in RI . Most Rhode Islanders can get to most activities anywhere in the state in about an hour.

For all Rhode Islanders: The useful pull-down menus -- category, place, and event type selections, plus a search box, enable anyone to quickly find what most interests them. Everybody in RI and nearby CT and MA could benefit from this easy way to find out what's "growing on" in RI!

For coalitions and topical websites: What Grows On in RI can generate calendars of selected events that fit your mission. The Environment Council of RI's calendar is an example. The ECRI calendar automatically sends a weekly email to subscribers, making it easy to keep up with action and legislation on climate, transportation, stormwater, energy and other issues.

I created the What Grows On in RI Calendar in 2008. But there are expenses, so I've set a fund-raising goal of $1,000.  If you like using the Calendar, I hope you'll make a contribution and let your friends know about it.

Thanks for considering a contribution to keep What Grows On  going! And many thanks to those who have already contributed!
