A Brief Background:
Dan and I decided to start trying for children in October of 2013. I became pregnant quickly, but miscarried that December. In February of 2014, I found out I was pregnant again, but miscarried shortly after the positive pregnancy test. In April of 2014, we found out I was expecting again and everything seemed to be progressing normally. I developed severe pain while on vacation in Montana and ended up having emergency surgery to remove an ectopic pregnancy in my right fallopian tube (and ended up losing my right fallopian tube in the process).
After losing the third pregnancy, we took a much needed mental-health break and didn't begin trying to conceive again until October of 2014. After four months of trying with no success, we consulted with a Reproductive Endocrinologist in late 2014 where we completed three medicated cycles with no success. After getting a second opinion from a new RE (who's a Cobber!) and weighing the options, we have decided to pursue IVF to hopefully help us successfully conceive.
Please don't feel obligated to give financially - your gifts of listening, love, and support are just as appreciated. With that said, some have offered that they would like to contribute money to help cover the cost of IVF, so we've created this page to let those who wish to give financial gifts the ability to do so. We've set the goal for $25,000, which is the estimated cost of one IVF cycle with medication. We appreciate any and every donation, as my health insurance does not cover any infertility treatment (only diagnosis), so we will be paying for everything out of pocket - every little bit helps!
As we've progressed along our journey, we have been blown away by the outpouring of support and love we have received. Thank you so much to all of our friends and family - we love you so much!
