Navajo and Hopi Book Donation Fund

No more donations are needed for this trip! Plan B involved renting a U-haul. Instead, we went to Plan C--which utilized a trailer. The generous donations will defray a lot of the travel expenses (big trucks and vans eat gas!).
The Original description:
Need urgent help....We are scheduled to leave on Wednesday, March 23, for the Hopi and Navajo Reservations in AZ to deliver 3,000 books that Kate collected through book drives. Last night we learned the truck we were going to use couldn't handle the 2,400 lbs. of 60 boxes of books.

The smallest U-haul would cost a minimum of $1,300 + gas for the eight days we will be traveling to schools, libraries, and communities to deliver the books. Kate has been working on this for a year. Help her promote reading and literacy through this project. Thank you. Any donation will help! This account has been setup to help and assist in this great cause.
Kate is thrilled to be working in coordination Sumi Nungwa, a focused non-profit 501c3 corporation serving Hopi and Navajo elders residing on their reservations in Northern Arizona. They have generously opened doors for her to be able to do this project through their contacts and expertise.
