The mission of Just Because Boxes is to provide care boxes full of positive and heartfelt knickknacks or goodies for children and adults with chronic illnesses. Here at Just Because Boxes, we aim to brighten the day of those with chronic illnesses one box at a time, and all of this is made possible by donations.
The idea of Just Because Boxes came to fruition from my own experiences of being chronically ill with Rheumatoid Arthritis since age 2. Throughout a childhood full of doctor’s appointments, shots, medication, and hospitalizations, my parents would always find a small goodie, or pick-me-up of some sort to lift my spirits. The goodies were small, and weren’t for any holiday or occasion—they were gifted to me “just because.” These small gestures served as a silver lining for me, and as a boost of morale.
As an adult, I now realize the impact these “just because” gifts made throughout my experiences growing up, and I want to share it with others who may be going through similar situations. Recently, with the help of friends and family, I have tried to pay-it-forward to those who may be having the same experiences with chronic illnesses as I have in the past, and continue to do so.
Through social media (instagram @RA_Warriorr )Just Because Boxes has already established a network of individuals with chronic illnesses that we have successfully reached out to. Here, at Just Because Boxes, we plan to cheer these individuals up with random acts of kindness, and ultimately bring some joy to their day. With the help of my family and friends, we were able to quickly begin shipping out Just Because Boxes. We soon discovered how well received and profound the effects these gifts were having. Just Because Boxes are cheering up people across the country.
In order to grow and expand our reach, Just Because Boxes survives on donations from people like yourself. Monetary contributions, small gifts, and volunteers are not only welcome, but immensely appreciated.
