Dear Neighbors,
Homewood-Flossmoor is home to people of all ages, races, and religions. We speak different languages, share varied interests, and have all kinds of families, identities, and abilities. What we have in common is that we find home here, where all are welcome.
To demonstrate our continued commitment to a community where all feel safe, we are raising money to purchase signs you can display on your front lawn reaffirming that “Hate Has No Home Here.”
Design services have been generously donated by Steven Velez Luce and the “North Park Neighbors” community. Read more about the origin of this project and the impact they’re making here. The languages on the signs are English, Urdu, Korean, Hebrew, Arabic, and Spanish.
In order to print and distribute the signs, we’re asking for your donation. A donation of $12 will cover costs for at least one sign, and in order to get this project off the ground, we need to have at least 150 signs in the pipeline to start printing.
If you live in the area and would like to request a yard sign once this project has been funded, please visit: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfHAvmeNsBgoY4DnjYGg0uZ8AqgmrNvMzdjKBGYL5iw0kuboQ/viewform We will distribute signs first to donors and then to those who have added their contact info--on a first-come, first-served basis--up to the funded number of signs.
This campaign is NOT limited to people in the HF community. The more the merrier!! We will arrange pick-up in Homewood and Flossmoor, so if you can come get your sign, we're happy to have one printed for you. Or, if you and your neighbors would like to band together and order several for one pick-up, that would be great, too!
If you are far away or unable to pick up a sign, you are welcome to download and print the poster yourself or have a local printer make one for you. By downloading the artwork, you are agreeing with the following:
• This graphic is for non-commercial use only. Any monies raised to pay for the use of this graphic should only be enough to pay for printing.
• This graphic is non-political. It is not claimed by any political party nor any political movement.
• No derivatives or alterations can be made to this graphic other than additions of “Hate Has No Home Here” into an additional language.
• Please attribute the source of this graphic as “North Park Neighbors, Chicago, Illinois.”
