In case you are not familiar with all of the costs involved, here is the breakdown of fees associated with bringing home the next Jett baby.
Illinois Fees
IL application Fee: $350
Home Study: $2,500
ICPC (Interstate Compact Fee): $700
Post-placement visits: $2,400
Fingerprinting: $160
Adoption classes (mandatory): $95.00
Texas Fees
TX application Fee: $750
Birthmother expenses: $8,103 (This amount could go up depending on if she moves or not)
Texas Legal Fees : $7,255 (attorney, agency birth certificate, etc)
Fingerprinting : $232 (Texas won’t accept electronic prints. They have to be ink rolled)
Total from above: $22,545
