**Update 2 April 2020 - family is waiting to hear the news on the appeal for sentence reduction

*Update 6 Feb 2020 -

Levi is doing well, safe with family.
Today the appeal was held. A tough day for the family in a never ending gauntlet of legal battles.

Tomorrow we learn if the sentence will be reduced.

The funds will invested securely long term and grow for when Levi is a young man. Your love and support is greatly appreciated and means so much to the family.

Thank you

.................
There is a little 5 year old boy who doesn’t have a father anymore. Today his mother Katie Castel was sentenced to 9 years for the manslaughter of her husband Jarred Castel, father to Levi. This means Levi has no parents able to care for him.

His Aunt is providing a beautiful loving home and is cherishing him, but there are many bills to pay and his future to think of. Anything you can give will be used for his current over due school fees and the remainder to give him a solid future via a trust.

Levi's father was a kind man who worked day and night to provide for his family and now that his father is dead, the little boy Levi doesn’t have that financial support and won’t ever again.

The family thanks you for your generosity, it really means so much.

20 December 2017 the Castel family was changed forever. Jarred, loving son, brother and father, was killed in his home by his wife.

19 March 2019 she was sentenced to 9 years jail and whilst the family are grateful for some closure their custody battle for Jarred’s son to be raised by his sister (married with 2 kids of similar ages) continues with skyrocketing legal bills.

Our goal is for Jared’s son to live a loving life with enough resources so he can have the future we know his father would have provided for him. Any donation you can make towards this would be greatly appreciated.

Jarred’s story: choosing a safer life for their whole family Heather and Tony moved to Australia with their three young children, they settled in Kenmore 4069 & quickly adopted the lifestyle of Rugby and outdoor sports.

Jarred had dreams of being in property and after attending Kenmore High he graduated from the University of Queensland.

He purchased his first home at 19, through will, determination and sheer hard work. He built a local shop fitting business and lived in Chapel Hill with his wife, whom he adored.

Levi was his shining light, an intelligent little chap whose resemblance to his father is uncanny.

Unfortunately a normal life was not to be his. After an argument in the kitchen he was fatally wounded with a knife by his wife Katie.

This man was counted by many as their best friend, he had a reliability and quiet loyalty that stood through decades of friendship. He had a work ethic like no other. All in the pursuit of building security for his family. He loved his mum and dad dearly and was an attentive son.

Please google the news story for more details.

This is a chance to help another person who didn’t choose for this to happen.

Thank you dearly xx
