Dear Family and Friends
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to you on behalf of my 14 year old niece Jane Wacuka who is in urgent need of a liver transplant. Jane was born healthy but was diagnosed with cirrhosis at the age of 7 months. She has been in and out of hospitals most of her childhood and has done remarkably well despite the odds stacked up against her health. The doctors had hoped that her liver would have regenerated by now but such is not the case therefore bringing us to the stage of a liver transplant.
After much discussions and prayer, the family has agreed to seek medical attention in India and her father has graciously agreed to be the organ donor to give her daughter a chance in life. Unfortunately despite this immense sacrifice, there is still a huge financial hurdle of raising Kshs 7 million (about $70,000.00). This amount is insurmountable for the father Geoffrey who works for a Tour Guide Company and the mother Nancy who is a Teacher while raising a family of 4.
