We have decided to spend 2017 volunteering in East Africa.
Our first stop is a free educational facility in the village of Matemwe in Zanzibar called The Tamani Foundation. We will be here for several months, helping with projects at the school as well as local causes that we stumble upon.
Tanzania is an extremely poor county where even the most basic of needs that we often take for granted such as education and health care are things that few are able to obtain.
Even a small donation in a country where many live on the equivalent of a dollar a day would go an incredibly long way.
