In Memory of Jacob Rupp

Donation protected
14-year-old Jacob Rupp lost his life on July 26, 2018 while doing something he loved. Jacob fell while skateboarding and suffered from suspected rhabdomyolysis.  This occurs from a fall serious enough to injure muscles that break down rapidly causing toxins to leak into the blood. This first causes kidney failure, then other organ failure.  Extreme heat can play a major role in its severity and the 100+ degree weather Boise has experienced this entire last month was not helpful to Jacob's skateboarding passion.

This fundraiser was created for two reasons. Most importantly it is to raise enough to pay for Jacob’s final expenses to help ease the burden for his family. Any money received above what is needed for Jacob’s final expenses will go towards skateboarding to honor his name. Jacob’s brothers, Jordan and Jeremy Rupp along with this fundraiser’s organizer, will work with the Boise Skateboard Association and the City of Boise to determine the best way to use the funds in memorial of Jacob Rupp to support the skateboard community based on the amount of donations received.

Jacob was a special soul and held a spot in many people’s hearts. He was taken far too early, for doing something he loved and will be dearly missed. May you rest in peace, Jacob.
