In Loving Memory of Cali Lynn "Bug" Kolmonen

Donation protected
This fundraiser is created with the sole intent to bless and assist the loving family of Cali Lynn Kolmonen.

"Cali bug" was 1 of 6 children documented across the world with specific coding of Multi Mitochondrial Disease Syndrome 6, though you would have never known by meeting this incredible little one that she endured such significant challenges.

Cali loved being around her family and friends, and although nonverbal, shared special connections with everyone she came into contact with. She loved other children and took delight in spending time with them. She enjoyed playing dress-up, having her nails painted, and all things mermaids and princesses. Her mom, Brittany, referred to Cali's room as the "hub" of the home - the place where everyone gathered to spend time together, relax, and reflect.

Brittany, her father, Michael, her step-father Aaron, and her brother Aidan absolutely adored her and spared no expense or emotion when it came to her well-being. Despite her declining health, they always found joy in Cali and continuously prayed for a miracle. Cali was loved by all because Cali truly loved all. Her infectious smile and love of life were unmatched and everyone that met her shared in her joy.

Cali is the only child of the six that suffered cardiac issues. She peacefully passed away in the arms of her mother on August 6, 2019, at the age of 6. Cali brought so much love and light to everyone who had the pleasure of crossing paths with her. Everyone who knew her or those just passing by could see that she was so full of love. Cali showed the world that even in the toughest times it is possible to be happy.

Ask any parent who has lost a child and they will tell you that the pain is unlike any other experience on earth. It is hard to find the words to express what Cali's family is feeling as they accept this new, difficult reality. However, Cali's mom continues in her faith as she tries to understand God's plan for Cali - and for her. She believes that Cali is in Heaven, playing with the angels, and free from the body that restricted her here on earth.

Matthew 5:4 reminds us that God is eager to comfort those who mourn. He allows us time to grieve - we are not rushed to heal. Cali's family is so incredibly thankful for the time, experiences, and life they were able to share with her, and they anxiously await seeing her again.

Her family seeks God's comfort and leans heavily on his provision as they receive medical bills and prepare funeral arrangements.

During this time, we ask that medical bills and funeral arrangements are the last things the family needs to be concerned with. Any donation is appreciated and no amount is too little.

Thank you.
