Story on Kiro 7 https://www.kiro7.com/video?videoId=747462518&videoVersion=1.0 Hello my name is ShaCorrie. I am a 30 year old wife and mother of two: Sasha and Adam. I am originally from Kansas. Where I was raised with a close knit family in the small city of Wichita.. Attending church what felt like every day, (thanks to my deceased grandmother) where my core values were instilled. I finished up High School in 2005 and decided to move to Texas with a friend. Being in Texas virtually alone with no family, my family grew concerned. So my aunt bought a one way ticket for me to move the Seattle with her. I enrolled in Highline College to obtain an Associates in Nursing. Fast forward. One weekend in May 2007 while waiting on a bus stop, a man approached me. This wasn’t the first time a man had wanted to engage with me in conversation to ask for my phone number. But it was the first foreign man to do so. Needless to say I was not very nice. He was kind and patient. So I gave this guy my number and he called every day for a year until I answered the phone. We went out often and were together every day. In the end I fell deeply in love with him. In January 2009 I found out I was pregnant. August 20, 2009 our daughter Sasha was born. Saja was absolutely smitten with his baby girl. He adored her. After this I became a stay at home Mom only having a weekend job and took a break for college. My second pregnancy I had no clue that I was pregnant. But, Saja kept telling me that I was. So I went to the doctor and my pregnancy confirmed. Saja was excited to have a baby boy. Adam was born March 2, 2011. Saja has been a great leader and provider for our family. He is very hard working. Often times having multiple jobs to take care of us. He has worked as a dishwasher, assistant chef, public attender, and a couple of other jobs. He told me that if he had to scrub toilets to take care of us he would. At home he cooks, cleans, does laundry, makes the kids lunches, and gives them baths at home. The list is never ending. I never have to beg or ask for help. He just did it. We have built a life together. We have a family. We have been through so many things that would have destroyed any family. Our marriage has been tested in every way possible. For example, in 2011-2013 we had a horrible infestation of bed bugs. We had to through away all of our furniture and beds; causing us to sleep on the floor (Adam and Sasha’s beds were fine). We couldn’t afford new beds or furniture. During this time Saja had lost his job. After this we lost our last child during my pregnancy in 2014. Now we are facing deportation. My husband had an Asylum case that was pending for over 10 years. During this pending Asylum case we were married and I filed an I-130 Petition for Alien Relative; Cost $430. Which was an opportunity for him to get a green card due to being married to a US citizen. We were then interviewed by Immigration on the authenticity of our marriage in 2012; but the petition was denied. Not having the means to appeal or hire an attorney we just continued to live, work, and take care of our family hoping his Asylum would be granted. But that was later denied as well. Since my husband has been detained I have enter a financial vortex. To pay for everything I have to keep getting loans. I have maxed out all my credit cards which I can't pay back. I've tried to apply for assistance but now that I am forced to work full-time hours, I don't qualify. I am drowning in debt just to pay for basic needs like rent and electricity. On top of all of this, in October 2017 we found out that he had congestive heart failure and a small size tumor in his neck on the right side. I was devastated to find out this horrible news. He went to countless appointments and was on lots of different meds for pain management. The bright side to this was that  Saja’s tumor was not cancer which is why his surgery was so important for him to get. But if the tumor remains it could turn into cancer. Saja was scheduled for surgery to get the tumor removed in mid-January. He was detained on Jan 9, 2018. He was unable to get the surgery. Because of him being detainee his condition has worsened. His tumor is now the size of a tennis ball. Making it extremely hard for him to breath or swallow. He has lost 40 pounds. Now when he is in pain the facility will give him Ibuprofen and send him to bed. I have begged and begged the immigration center to do something. They continually tell me they're working on it. They have sent him to the detention center's doctors who have told him that he needs to seek treatment outside of the center. His medical condition is too advanced for their medical expertise. The only thing that I am concerned with at this moment is my husband not dying. I am doing everything in my power for his health that I can considering where he is. Now we are trying to get a bond for him on the grounds of his illnesses. Inside the detention center they have horrible and limited medical treatment. If his bond is granted I have be prepared to pay it. Which is why i am starting this fundraiser. Later, depending on what happens in his case we will need to hire a very experienced attorney for his case.  Help me save my husbands life by getting him out of that horrific immigration center. Anything helps. Thank you!! If you have any other resources or information to help please e-mail stunkara87@gmail.com

Hello everyone. I am giving an update on what has been happening. My husband has had several emergency room visits since his surgery. His chest pain has worsen and his incision has swell. ICE isn't follow any of the doctors order post- surgery and time is ticking away. The more ICE slacks the worse my husbnads condition gets.

Additionally, I met with a well known immigration attorney($400), with a very long resume. My husband has filed all the paper work that there is to file. The only this that we can do now is file a motion to have him released due to his medical issues and in July Saja should be granted a bond hearing. This attorney is asking for quite a bit of money but, it's worth my husband's life. To help raise this money as well, I will be having a bake sale. I explained to the attorney that our funds are low but he stated that small paying aren't accepted by their firm. Fingers cross! I will keep you all posted. Thank you all for all the support.

Bad news.
We had applied for Saja to have a bond. It was denied. He has his 90 day review to have "supervised" release. It was denied. His immigration case is super complicated. The only way to have a chance to get him out of there at thus point, is to hire a very powerful attorney. Who are super expensive. Because of this matter I am raising the donation amount. Thank you to everyone. Long journey ahead of us.

Hello everyone.

Here is an update. Saja has received surgery. April 27th 2018. I was not told he was getting surgery. I just didn't hear from him. So I called the jail and he was not there. So I called every hospital I could think of between Seattle and Tacoma. They all told me he was not there. I began to freak out. I called this advocate volunteer to help me locate him and she was able to find out he was at the hospital (UW medical center, which I had called) and had undergone major surgery. He returned to the jail that Monday. The advocte went to see him. Saja was in a wheelchair and also had an arm sling because he lost the ability in his right arm. The doctor told him must go to physical therapy twice a week and would need another surgery because there were more tumors. The doctor didnt want to cause permanent paralysis; by trying to remove the tumors all at once. They jail is still being negectful. They most recently gave him the wrong medications. Saja has paperwork filed to apply for bail. Our hope is to get granted this bail and I am contacting social media, news outlets, Senate, Congress, and the Attorney General trying to get answers. In order to make this process. In the end we need two things money for bond and money for a very very good attorney. Thank you to everyone who has spread the word and donated. Our family appreciated. I am going to continuing to look for a very very good lawyer to fight to get him out based on his health complications. Please continue to spread the word and donate.❤❤❤❤
