$8,110 of $30,000 goal

Raised by 157 people in 1 month
Hi Guys, our names are Michael and April Dunyak. We are parents of 4 boys , and we are passionate about giving and serving within our community, we are residents of Panama City Florida and from what we know our home and the surrounding areas have heavily affected by Hurricane Michael, but our goal is to hit the ground running and jump in fully volunteering our time and efforts in helping our neighbors and the community rebuild quickly and effectively.   Please consider helping us rebuild by giving to our go fund me.  If you are not in a position to give, please share this link, but MOST IMPORTANTLY please pray for us EVERY step of the way.   The funds will be used to provide building supplies and any other supplies that may be needed while serving in the community. Supplies will include generators, chainsaws, trash bags, personal hygiene products, gasoline, water, gloves, and many other items for the rebuild and sustainment. We are members of Emerald Coast Fellowship Church in Panama City, a church passionate about serving the local community. Please consider giving to help us rebuild and serve the community during this difficult time. Thanks Friends!!

I wanted to post an update so all our donors (and future donors; wink wink) have an idea what is going on here in Panama City, FL. We are quickly becoming old news, but I'll tell you there is still a LOT to do. Most folks don't even have new roofs going on their houses (yours truly included), primarily because the insurance process is so terribly slow. That, and the fact that there are only so many roofers out there; there are only so many shingles available.

We continue to need your help though. We are trying to help those without the resources to get some critical work done to make their homes safe again. There has been a lot of water damage...due to shingles getting ripped off roofs (or roofs being ripped off altogether), flooding, or trees falling on the house. Sheetrock will be in high demand over the coming months. Our previous house (a 2012 build), which we now rent, is gutted down to the studs, so imagine how many of the older houses (not built under the same building codes) faired.

Please continue to get the word out! The more donations we receive the more work we can do to help those struggling.

Your donations are keeping "base camp" up and running and allowing us to get out into the community to help those in dire need of help.

Supplies have been delivered and folks are beginning to get power back. Our home is expecting power by the first few days of November.

Many of our guys and gals that have been working tirelessly over the past week have gone to see their families and to recharge. Most all of them will be coming back to the local area to continue the efforts in cleanup and rebuilding.

Thank you so much for your donations. Please continue to get the word out and share on social media. It is making a difference!

The need is real...folks have lost their homes because of Michael. Just driving around is jaw dropping.

Please continue to pray for everyone affected by this massive hurricane.

I wanted to fill you all in on our progress down here. Thanks to all the donations so far, we have been able to deliver food and water to churches for distribution, hand out a few chainsaws to put folks to work, fill up generators with gas, hook up generators to houses in order to get folks water and a working fridge....and the list goes on.

The cadre I have here working with me has been phenomenal. They have helped so many people in the community from sunrise to after sunset for the past several days. They are wiped out but still going at it.

Please continue to get the word out that more support is needed. I have so many co-workers and friends who have lost their houses and much of their personal belongings. I wish we could help them all at once, but we have to just continue chipping away.

Continued prayers please.
