We wrote "The Hot Chicken Song" and created this video to promote the annual Hot Chicken Festival on the 4th of July in East Park in East Nashville.
Our song has been unofficially named "The Official Theme Song" of the 2017 Festival. We are asking you to help us raise $400 by July 4th to cover the cost of creating the video (below.) To meet this goal we will need to raise $100 a day for the next four days. With the help of our many friends and neighbors, we believe this is doable!
This will be the 7th year that Shelby Bottom String Band has donated its time to play the opening set at the Hot Chicken Festival. We also performed at the 100th Anniversary Celebration for Shelby Park. The title cut of the Band's CD is East Nashville Rag. Nell Levin and Michael August, aka Shelby Bottom Duo, have lived in Lockeland Springs in East Nashville for 20 years.
We will be performing from 10:30 to 11:30 am at the Hot Chicken Festival on July 4th. Come by and say hi!
