Homelessness in New Haven CT

I am raising money to help donate as much as I can to homeless citizens in New Haven. It's extremely heartbreaking to see how some people have to live. I have nothing but RESPECT and EMPATHY for them. In this crazy world, I believe we should always be trying to help one another, no matter what. I want to create care packages for as many people as I can as well as donate money to shelters in order to help them expand and provide more for the people there. In many cases, there are too many homeless people and not enough space in shelters. I want to fill my care packages with items that many of us take for granted but others would be grateful for such like; blankets, food, waters, pads and tampons for women, umbrellas, etc. I really would appreciate any kind of help, even a dollar!
