Her Hygiene. Fundraiser

When you go into a feminine products aisle in your local convenience or grocery store, most people may observe that feminine products are not getting any cheaper. One can argue that feminine hygiene products are becoming more of a luxury, than a necessity for women. One can only imagine the unique challenges that most homeless women may face in trying to attain feminine hygiene products. Homeless women who wander the streets, are faced with the dilemma of going without the necessary feminine products for their monthly menstruation. Even most homeless women’s shelters may not see enough donations of feminine products, which may limit the ability for any homeless woman to receive their share of feminine products. There is time for change.

“Her Hygiene.” was founded by four young women: Zana, Kathy, Rachel, and Khadijah, who aspire to advocate for homeless women who do not have access to the necessary feminine products. Our mission is to raise funds or donations to deliver and provide the New York’s homeless woman population with necessary products to ease some of the stress that hygiene often brings to us women. The money raised will additionally help Her Hygiene transition from an organization into a “Non-profit,” which will help us further expand and strengthen our mission.

Once every month we will be putting together packages that will include women hygiene products for homeless women and distribute them to homeless shelters and to homeless women who reside on the streets of New York.
