First off, this page is a SURPRISE for the Hearn family! They do not know we are raising money to help. So, please help us in keeping this a secret!
Tierney and I have been friends with Nikki since grade school. If you know Nikki, you know she’s an incredibly strong and hardworking person; always has been. You might also know that she has experienced some pretty difficult times in her life and always come out on the other side. In fact, she finds a way to learn and grow and persevere every single time. She is smart, giving, and has never stopped working and fighting for her family.
She and her husband Phil recently packed their bags and started a new adventure out in Salt Lake City, Utah with their two beautiful little girls. It wasn’t by choice; their landlord sold the house they had been renting for 5 years quite literally out from under their feet—they barely got a 30 day notice and had to fight for even the smallest bit of empathy from this person. Just like always, Nikki and Phil had to turn lemons into lemonade and looked at this scary time as a way to get a fresh start in Utah where Phil’s employer was able to transfer him.
They had to move to a new state without knowing where they would live once they got there; I can only imagine how scary this would be, yet Nikki is still trying to keep her chin up and focusing on keeping her children safe and happy. It has been extremely difficult for them and we can’t stand by and just hope things get better for her. We’d like to ease the burden for her, at least financially, so she and her family can get back on their feet.
They are currently Air BnB hopping. They are trying to find a place to rent but are not having any luck yet. Tierney and I feel that if we could at least help them with a couple months rent and deposit, food and utilities, we might be able to provide a little relief to this wonderful family that just needs a little rest and reassurance that everything is going to be okay.
These wonderful people could use a little boost. A little lift of spirits. We believe raising even just a bit of money would give them the support they could use to move onwards and upwards! Again, they have no clue this page has been created. We, her friends, just want to gather our tribe to lift up this wonderful family.
