Help Chelsea

In October of 2014 my world was turned upside down. I found out my sister who is developmentally challenged was sexually violated by a man for 2 years. My sister was then taken out of my mothers home. She was immediately taken in to the states care. Since then the rest of my family and I have had very limited to no contact with Chelsea.  The only family member involved in the crime was my mother, so the fact that the rest of us are being punished for her actions does not seem just. My father, my sister and I have all attempted to obtain guardianship to no avail and at this point we have exhausted every possible effort within the limits of the law. Chelsea is with strangers somewhere and has no contact with any family or friends. We are unable to see or speak to her, as well as unaware of where she is being kept.  As you can imagine this has been a very difficult couple of years for my family and I.  Chelsea is in the worst position of all in this situation because she must think we have abandoned her, and we just want to be there to help and support her. Although she is in state custody, we believe she is very confused and scared seeing as there are no familar faces around to comfort her. We've recently been in contact with a lawyer, and we're intent on doing whatever neccesary to regain contact with our sister/daughter. We are currently seeking help from our friends, family, and the community to assist in covering the costs of legal representation.  We have estimated after receiving multiple quotes that we need to raise somewhere around $6500 to be able to take this case to court and hopefully, one day have our beloved Chelsea back in our lives.
