Help Jaime Keep Her Family Together

Donation protected

Life is unexpected and occasionally does hand us more than we can handle. Jaime is an amazing person and when she is knocked down like this, we do everything we can to help! Please take a moment to read through and see how much this family needs help. As well as, why they deserve it. Thank you.

A few years ago, Jaime was a single woman with a photography business, doing great and living life. Suddenly her niece was going to be put into foster care and lost to their family. With more fear and anxiety than I can imagine, Jaime stepped up to adopt Princess P and selflessly changed her own life in almost every way- to become a single mother to a beautiful princess.
It was a long, bumpy, painful road to get to where they are, but she stepped up for P every step of the way and created a very happy home for her.

As almost all single parents do, they struggle; owning your own business adds a LOT of extra struggles on top of that. Without the help of her family and friends, it wouldn’t be possible to be a single mother working a photographer’s schedule. Small businesses owners don’t have big paychecks, but it did give her the flexibility to be free when she needed to be for the long, hard, awful process of getting the state to let her adopt and keep Princess P with their family.

So now, as another beautiful princess is facing the same fate- Jaime, her mother, and her elderly grandparents are trying not to let one of their own have to go into foster care… again.
Jaime wants Princess P to have her sister, Princess G, with them. As much as Jaime wants her family to stay together, she knows the road ahead of them. While she wants to do it, she wonders if she really can.
It was such a hard, long, expensive, scary, and draining process. She is paralyzed with fear of how it will go this time when: there is already a child depending on her; the rental car from the accident ends tomorrow, meaning she can’t work and loses income; and she is trying to physically recover, struggling to hold up her equipment and barely being able to lift Princess G.

She is, understandably, at the end of her rope. Until the state gets them through the process, they cannot apply for any assistance, or even insurance for Gracie. She loves these girls to the moon and back. She has sacrificed a lot to become a mother and keep her family together, but she is so far under water right now that to list everything would seem like a Saturday Night Live sarcastic monologue!

Everything above is in addition to her fridge and washer/drier being broken, having been in the hospital for kidney stones a few times this year, having to be off for those as well as these new injuries, medical bills, loss of income, and debt mounting… there’s no PTO for small business owners. The insurance company takes a long time to pay anything out and on the car itself they will only be paying what is left on the loan…leaving Princess P with no chariot.

So we ask you to please find it in your heart to help this amazing little family. Princess P needs a chariot so Queen Jaime can try to bring Princess G to their castle.
