Help us save the traditions of La Victoria Bakery!

Help us preserve one of the longest-standing businesses in the Mission District. La Victoria Bakery has been serving this community for 67 years, and we hope to do so for many more. Since the 1950s, we have brought culture and traditions from Mexico.

One month ago, we received an eviction notice alerting us that the building is in the process of being sold, and that we had to stop working at the bakery. Some of our bakers have been proudly working here for almost 40 years with nowhere else to go. They love the work they do, the breads they bake, and the customers they serve. Like so many others who are threatened with evictions in this area, we are fighting to stay.

We will fight this eviction , but we need your help! We will fight to keep this legacy going! Do your part, any and every donation is appreciated.

We also would love to see you come by the bakery and enjoy some pan dulce.

We have been approved for a small grant to cover legal fees to maintain the business operating at 2937 24th Street, but there is still much uncertainty. With the eviction letters that were given out, many of the food producers who were tenants have decided to move elsewhere, making it much more difficult for us to pay for our regular operation. We also deliver our pan dulce across the city, and are now in need of purchasing a truck to keep our wholesale business active.
