United States Constitution Amendment I "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." Being unaffiliated with any political party we do believe a Constitutional Republic is worth defending and we have done so.  In doing so, you must hold Elected Officials responsible for their actions. Whether you know this or not, that can be considered grounds for Party Disloyalty charges if discussing the record of elected officials around election time. That in itself is a whole different story, although relevant to this one.  We are being sued by Debbie (Deborah) King who is the Elected Vice Chairman of the Haywood County (NC) Republican Party (GOP), for her inability to sleep or eat, stress caused by Facebook & website posts, allegedly ruining her reputation with local people, and basically sinking our teeth in by not letting her run over us since we fought back. She is claiming that she is not an elected public official and that all of our posts about her are just harassment. She has even said that some are of a sexual harassment nature. With all that being said, evidently freedom of speech is not as FREE as you would think. The lawsuit names our organization, as well as three specific individuals & 6 John Does. From what I am being told, this is so they can add people to the lawsuit at a later time.  I myself  other than being in this organization have not been named yet but I almost bet I will if this GoFundMe account takes off and raises any substantial funds for our defense.
