CHANGE TOMORROW CHILDREN’S CHARITY
We are Dana and Jonny and we have given up our careers in Scotland, sold everything, moved to Uganda and used all our funds to start our charity called CHANGE TOMORROW helping children and families living in extreme poverty and without education.
Our charity currently sponsors children to go to school and we have raised the funds to start our own school. We currently have 170 children enrolled, 9 teachers, a head teacher, a cook and a groundsman. Help us give these children the education and the future they deserve and a chance to break out of this cycle of poverty.

Most NGO's and volunteers build schools where they have easy access to electricity and water. This means the children from most rural villages still suffer as there are very few schools for them. Our school is in the heart of the villages where there is no access to electricity or water.
(This is our school which started this year. It is in a village called Lusanja near Mityana)
Schooling in Uganda is unimaginable. During our visits to multiple schools the problems were clear. We have witnessed no teachers present, under qualified teachers, lack of scholastic materials, lack of food and water for the children, no toilets and poor structures made from wood and mud. The World Bank reported that teacher absenteeism, whatever the cause, meant that 40% of public school classrooms did not have a teacher teaching in them. School fees are an enormous uphill battle in Uganda. In a country where the average parent earns less than $1 per day saving enough money to put their children through school is a huge problem. School fees have huge variables however they can range from £10 to £100 per 3 month term. On top of this each student mut pay their uniform, equipment, schoolshoes, meals etc.
The funds from this page will help towards building, water harvesting equipment, cladding for the school, windows and doors, teaching equipment, desks, chairs, books and kitchen equipment etc.
(This is our next project. We are currently trying to find funding to build an office and a store room)
Below are the current living standards of the type of families we are trying to help.
(In the picture below these are current latrines which have no sewer system)
We want you to know that we take no salaries for our work and we make sure 100% of your donations makes it to these children and communities. £10,000 is not much to make this possible, if 1000 people can donate £10 then Uganda will have another school for it's children.
